Circulatory System
Function: Distributes oxygen & nutrients throughout the body. Circulates blood throughout the body and removes waste products.
Major Organs
Heart - It is a powerful muscle that pumps blood through its chambers to all parts of the body by cycles of contracting and relaxing.
Blood vessels/arteries -
Take oxygen throughout the body. They carry pumped blood under high pressure away from your heart through smaller branched tubes called capillaries (connect arteries to veins).
Major Tissue
Blood - White blood cells are also part of the immune system
Veins - No oxygen. They carry deoxygenated blood from tissues and back into the heart with less force.
