Function: Remove fluid, called lymph from around cells and filter out any pathogens. The lymphatic system works with the immune system to fight infections.
Main Organs:
Lymph Nodes - When fluid passes through lymph nodes, white blood cells destroy any germs that are in the fluid.
Tonsils
Thymus gland
Spleen
The lymphatic system is part of the circulatory system. The fluid taken from around the cells is returned to the blood stream.
